MILWAUKEE — A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE

    • Big city amenities: On the shores of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is known as a big city with small town friendliness. Home to the world’s largest music festival, Summerfest, Milwaukee offers law students everything from practical legal experiences to fantastic restaurants, sports and cultural events, and so much more.

    • Value added: Don’t miss the Historic Third Ward, the Milwaukee Public Market, the Lake Michigan shoreline and beaches, and the Riverwalk, to name just a few attractions. Added bonus—Living in Milwaukee is really affordable!

Milwaukee is a great city to go out and enjoy yourself. For one thing, we are on a beach. We're on the lake. I think there's great opportunities in the spring and summer and sometimes the fall, if we're lucky, to walk along the beach, enjoy the water, or just look out at the sunrise over the lake.

You still have every amenity of a big city in Milwaukee, all the restaurants you could want, every type of food. You have all the good shopping. You have, you know, an international airport. There is everything you could want in a big city, but in a small town, kind of feel.

Milwaukee is such an exciting and vibrant community. It's full of rich history and diversity. There are constantly events and festivals happening. Milwaukee is kind of known, in the Midwest, at least, as the festival capital and having so many outdoor activities to do is just, it's a huge plus, living in the city.

We all definitely like to have some fun and go to sporting events, for sure. You'll basically always find law students at the Bucks games or the Marquette basketball games, which are incredible and a really fun atmosphere.

One of the best parts about living in Milwaukee or going to Marquette is, unlike other large cities, Milwaukee, is really affordable. Rents are affordable. Groceries are affordable. Things as a student that you have to take care of, you can afford here, and it's just a place where you can feel like you're a part of home. We're a big city, but at the same time, you have that small town feel.
